For years world wide grain farmers have recognized it makes no sense to spend thousands of dollars to produce piles of grain only to let it spoil. Consequently grain is typically stored in steel, concrete, or wooden bins and sent out by truck, rail, and/or barge to key shipping locations. Sometimes, the grain harvest is too large for the storage facilities. Grain tarps provide an excellent temporary storage option.

Grain tarps aka. Grain covers  are available in several basic types:

  • Grain truck tarp covers made from PE or stronger 14, 18, or 22oz vinyl.
  • Grain pile covers for smaller piles of 50,000 bushels or less

Truck drivers typically use roll-up grain tarps to protect their loads while traveling from field to storage locations. We provide competitively priced replacement grain truck tarps in a multitude of color combinations and strengths.

At grain-tarps.com we offer PE and vinyl grain covers for small and large grain piles. Typically we are asked for 12 mil or 16 mil PE covers that are built in large panels. These grain pile tarps can be built as one piece units or multiple section grain covers that are sewn together on-site. We specialize in producing large grain pile tarps that exceed the dimensions others make. Vinyl covers are typically made to be reinstalled year after year.

Grain pile and other commodity stockpile covers are available by special order. Allow up to one week for standard flat sheet grain covers and 2-3 weeks for large conical grain covers. The smaller grain bin covers are typically made with d-rings or grommets around the outside grain cover perimeter. Large 500,000 bushel to 1,200,000 bushel grain pile covers are typically built with a raw edge that is fastened into a wooden, concrete or steel perimeter bunker or fence.
