Roll Over Grain Truck Tarp Construction


Roll over truck tarps, also known as roll up truck tarps or grain truck tarps are generally constructed in one of two ways:

1.  With two pipe pockets, one on both the driver's and passenger's side of the tarp to accomodate the pipe and hardware that operate the opening and closing of the cover.

2.  With only one pocket running the length of the driver's side of the cover for pipe, and a reinforced hem on the passenger side where the tarp is actually bolted to the truck bed.

Lumber Truck Tarp Construction

Lumber truck tarps are generally made from 18oz vinyl and have three rows of D-rings around the perimeter used to secure the tarp to the truck bed with ratchet straps. Having three rows of D-rings provides a variety of load configurations by allowing the driver to roll up the sides of the tarp if necessary, and securing the tarp tightly over the load. This ensures a safely secured load and extends the life of the tarp by reducing wind whip which occurs when the tarp is not tightly secured.
We also provide reinforced stress points to extend the life of your tarp.
